Mrs. Jessie V. Scarbrough, 93 of Snyder since 1959 died on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at her home. A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Memorial Gardens with Mr. Arlie Eicke officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home. She was born on September 03, 1926 in Childress county to Etta and Cletis Terrell. She graduated from Kirkland High School in 1944 and married her high school sweetheart, Raymond (Bud) Scarbrough after graduation and celebrated 60 years together. He died December 20, 2004. She joined the Methodist Church at the age of 13 and was active in the church all her life. She was a life member of Women's Society of Christian Service and P. T. A. Also a member of Martha Ann's Women's Club, American Business Women's Association in Snyder, a member of Eastern Star and Cogdell Hospital Auxiliary for several years. She retired from the Department of Public Safety as the Driver's License Clerk after 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletis and Etta Terrell, Two brothers, L.H. Terrell and Billy V. Terrell, a daughter, Barbara Nell Gowin and a granddaughter Shae Gowin. She is survived by one son, Terry Scarbrough and wife Cary of Ft.
