Bio

Dorothy "Jean" Keese, 92, of Wills Point, TX, entered the gates of Heaven on March 2, 2020, at Crestwood Nursing Home in Wills Point, TX. Jean was the third child of nine children born at their home in Morgan Community, TX, on June 22, 1927, to Ethel and Lee Jones. She was raised in Slaton, TX, before moving to Wills Point after the loss of her husband in 2007. Jean married Teddy Leon Joneson September 29, 1947, in Clovis, NM. She was a member of the Wills Point Church of Christ. Jean enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking (especially baking) playing games, Dallas Cowboys, and walking (4 miles daily). To cherish her memories, Jean leaves behind her son, Douglas Lee Keese and wife Arlene, of Midlothian; daughter, Cheryl Ethridge and husband Doyle, of Wills Point; brothers, Homer Jones and Jo of Lubbock; Connie Mac Jones of Omaha, TX; granddaughters, Kortni and Mark Williams, Alicia and Jonathan Harris; grandsons, Brandon and Stacie Ethridge, Beau and Yana Ethridge, Lance and Cecilla Keese, Jason and Kristene Keese, Justin Keese; great-grandchildren, Abby, Aaron, Trinity, Hayden, A.J., Brandon, Austin, Luke, Payton, Makenzie, Alyssa, Sophia, Anna and Jacob; great-great-grandchild, Bryson. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Leon Keese; parents, Lee and Ethel Jones; two brothers, J. Frank Jones and Bobby Jack Jones; four sisters, Virginia Berry Dansbee, Mary Bell Hoover, Naomi Ruth Dansbee and Patsy Nell Maxwell. Service will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Wills Point Church of Christ with visitation being held one hour prior. Arrangements are under the care of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas.
