ROEPKE, Joe B. of Rt.2, Taylor. Age 69. Died 4/30/1989 (Sunday) in Johns Community Hospital. Services held (Tuesday) at Condra Memorial Chapel. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Dyer officiated. He was born 11/26/1919 in Rockdale to the late John G. & Marie Hirt Roepke. Lived in the area most of his life, retiring as heavy equipment operator in 1984 after 30 years with J.C. Evans Construction Co. Member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rockdale. Veteran of U.S. Army during WW-2. Preceded in death by a brother and sister. SURVIVORS: 2 sons, Larry Roepke of Cedar Park, David Roepke of Belton; 2 sisters, Martha Zapalac of Granger, Margaret Limmer of Thorndale; brother, John Roepke of Granger; 4 grandchildren; friend, Frances Young.
