BURKHAM, WILLIAM LAFATE August 5, 1942 - January 23, 2020 William Lafate Burkham was born August 5, 1942 to Elvis & Juanita Burkham in Dike, Texas. He went to be with our Lord Jesus on January 23, 2020 after a long courageous fight with his illness. Bill grew up in Dallas, Texas where he met the love of his life. Bill and Dorothy were married in 1961. Bill joined the Army in 1961. He was a member of the Teamster Local 745 for 29 years. He retired from Roadway in 2002. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brother LD Burkham and sister Elona Midkiff. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dorothy. His three son’s Robert Burkham and his fiancé Christina; Gary Burkham and his wife Diane and Michael Burkham and his wife Lisa. One daughter Sherry Dodd. His grandchildren Brandy Reyes; Jeremy Wilks and his spouse Tasha; Brandon Burkham and his fiancé Katrina; Joshua Burkham and his wife Hannah, Lindsey Lopez; Jacob Burkham, Ashlynn Burkham and Andrew Burkham. His Great-Grandchildren McKenzie, Grayson, Easton, Presley, Braydon, Mason, Charli, Jordan, Chase, Mia, Peyton, Corey, Chloe and Caitlyn. And many nieces and nephews.
