Coeburn, VA ~ Conner William Kennedy, 84, died Thursday, October 18, 2001 at St. Mary's Hospital in Norton, Virginia. Mr. Kennedy was a retired tipple operator of VICC in Coeburn and a member of Coeburn Masonic Lodge #97 A.F. & A.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, H. B. and Martha Holbrook Kennedy; Brothers, Louie Kennedy, Hansford Kennedy & Cecil Kennedy, Sisters, Ruth McReynolds and Virginia Hall; Grandson, Eric Palmer, Jr. Survivors include his wife Beulah Virginia Kennedy; Son, Steve Kennedy, Union, KY; Daughters & Sons-in-law, Brenda & Bernard Palmer, Nancy & Hank Roberts and Hope & Jerry Stapleton all of Coeburn; Sister, Hazel Hall, Detroit, Wanda Lawson, Flat Rock, MI, Frances Stapleton, Baltimore, MD and Edna Lawson, Coeburn; Grandchildren, Chris Palmer, Eric Palmer, Sr., Melissa Wharton, Matthew, Chad Roberts, Marci Roberts, Kelly, Rachel Kennedy, Cyndy Somervell and J.R. Stapleton; 7 Great Grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Funeral services for Conner William Kennedy will be held Sunday, October 21, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Large and Rev. Anthony Grills will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Saturday after 6:00 P.M. where a Masonic evening service will be held at 7 P.M.
