She married James Donnally Booten (b. 1 Nov 1830, Gallia County, Ohio - d. 27 Jan 1867, Norfolk, Virginia) on 5 March 1860 in Gallia County, Ohio. From the obituary of her daughter, Jessie (Booten) Hager: "She {Jessie} was buried by the side of her mother who had died ten months previous, and who was the daughter of Mr. John Atkinson ..."
