Bio
Jerry Harold Stewart, 77, of Ennis, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2020. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery. Jerry was born on September 18, 1942, in Kaufman County, Texas, to the late Isaac Newton Stewart and Edna Elizabeth Whitely Stewart and grew up in Peeltown, Texas. On June 19, 1962, Jerry married Beverly Fredregill. Jerry was a master plumber and he had made his home in Ennis for the past 50 plus years. He enjoyed playing guitar and played with a band called “The Country Tops” for a period. He also enjoyed singing, dancing and watching Westerns. Jerry loved to be outside and work in his garden and care for the fruit trees. He loved fishing and he and his dog were best buds. He was preceded in death by a son, Craig Marshall; and brothers, Doyle Glenn Stewart and Travis Stewart. Survivors include his daughters: Nancy Beatrice Stewart, Susan Michelle Martinez and her husband, Jesse, and Christina "Tina" Denise Madewell and her husband, Scott; son, Joseph "Joey" Allen Stewart; grandchildren: Phillip Conner, Chris Conner, Valleri Conner, Jake Martinez, Michael Martinez, Jessica DeMaria, Nichole Chennette, and Dakota Stewart; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Stewart and Jackie Stewart; sisters: Shirley Duckworth, Linda Sandefer, and Ruby Bolton; other relatives and many friends.
