Charles W. Wiggs, 48, 809 Rock St., died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a five-month illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Larkin Northside Funeral Home. The Rev. Harold V. Cooper, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Wiggs was born Sept. 9, 1934, at Whiting, Iowa, and came to Sioux City in 1942 with his parents. He graduated from Heelan High School in 1952. He married Monica Stanislav May 28, 1953, in Sioux City. He was employed at Marian Health Center in the housekeeping and maintenance departments. He was a Catholic. Survivors include four sons, Craig of Sioux City, Dan of Great Lakes Naval Base, Ill., and Mike and Douglas, both at home; five daughters, Mrs. Teresa Angerman of Sioux City, Julie of Iowa City, Iowa, Laurie of Omaha, and Kris and Carla, both at home; his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Wiggs of Sioux City; three brothers, Jim of Sioux City, Arlen of Muscatine, Iowa and David of Auburn, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Phillips of Traverse City, Much., and Mrs. Mary Trometer of Omaha and two grandchildren.
