Gladys Emily Kotrla, 91, of Baytown,Texas, passed away on December 24, 2019. She was born in Weimer, Texas on March 18, 1928 to Hugo and Lena Buxkemper. She was married to Frank A. Kotrla for 72 years, she was a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years, and had a passion for crocheting, knitting, and sewing. She enjoyed bowling, and making crafts and decorating for the holidays. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Lena Buxkemper; and brother Albert Buxkemper. Gladys is survived by her husband Frank A. Kotrla; daughters, Betty Weber and husband Paul, Elaine Swindull, Connie Clark and husband Benny; son, Robert Kotrla; grandchildren, David Weber and Wife Yelleni, Danny Weber and wife Kenda, Francis Ray “Scooter” Swindull, III, Bodie Clark and Wife Krystal, Robert Clark and Wife Treasia; great grandchildren, Taylor Clark, Blaize Clark, Reece Clark, Lilly Clark, Audrianna Weber, Micaela Weber, Henna Weber; sister Regina Schramek Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Visitation will take place at Navarre Funeral Home on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 5:00 pm -7:00 pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home with burial to follow in Cedarcrest Cemetery.
