Bio
Margie Drummond Massar of Taylor passed away at St. David's Hospital on December 23, 2019 at the age of 77. Margie was born in Thorndale on November 6, 1942. She graduated from Thorndale High School. She enjoyed watching Kevin and Kristen in their sports activity and Brandon in his band activities. The grandchildren will always cherish the fond memories they had with "Nanny". Just a few of those memories include breakfast stops before school, after school snack runs, and summers spent playing various games. She also loved helping the kids study, making sure their homework was done, and asking how was their day. They could always count on seeing Nanny in the crowd at their activities. Margie was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Olga Drummond; brothers Melton and Howard Drummond; and nephew Curtis Dean Drummond. She is survived by her husband James Massar of 57 years; son Michael (Lavonne) Massar; daughter Donna (Scott) Safarik; grandson, Kevin (Melissa) Massar; granddaughter Kristen (fiancé Joshua Vasquez) Massar; grandson Brandon Safarik; great grandson Jase Massar; and numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send any memorials in memory of Margie Massar to a church of your choice.
