Bio
Paul F. Siemek, age 83, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 with a 7:00 p.m. Vigil Service at McKown Funeral Home. A Private Family Mass will be held with burial in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery at a later date. Military Honors will be conducted by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. Paul F. Siemek was born October 18, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska to Joseph and Josephine (Hilger) Siemek. He attended St. Anthony Grade School in Cedar Rapids and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus. Paul served in the U.S. Navy from August 1956 – January 1960. On July 3, 1962 he was united in marriage to Nancy Beck at St. Bonaventure Church. Paul worked for Behlen Manufacturing for 43 years. He enjoyed gardening and attending his grandchildren’s and great grandson’s activities. He was member of St. Bonaventure Church where he ushered for 50 years. He is survived by: Wife: Nancy Siemek of Columbus, NE Daughter: Michelle (Merlin) Dawson of Bellwood, NE Son: Michael (Pam) Siemek of Columbus, NE Son: Matthew (Heather) Siemek of Columbus, NE 6 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandson 1 Brother and 1 Sister He was preceded in death by: Parents: Joseph and Josephine Siemek Infant Daughter: Mary 2 Sisters and 1 Brother
