Cooper Rites at Alba ALBA – Funeral services for Frank James Cooper who died Wednesday at a Mineola hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Alba Methodist Church. Mr. Cooper, 75, a retired merchant and farmer, was born Dec. 17, 1892 at Wylie. He had lived in the Alba community for the past 45 years and was an active member of the Alba Methodist Church. The Rev. Phillips Tarman, rector of the Alba Methodist Church will be the officiant. He will be assisted by the Rev. Cecil Ellis, pastor of Wesley Street Methodist Church in Greenville. Burial at Forrest (sic) Park Cemetery will be under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be J.E. Banks of Greenville; Delroy Russell, Wilburn Galyean, Arlie Farrington and C.L. Huddleston all of Alba. Preceded by his wife in death, Mr. Cooper is survived by one son, Ray Cooper, 1208 Walnut; two grandchildren, Mrs. J.E. Banks of Ardis Heights; and Mike Cooper of Greenville; one sister, Mrs. Mallie Parr of Simms and one brother, Arthur Cooper of Houston. ---------- Greenville Herald Banner, Fri, 12 Jan 1968, page 2, Deaths, F.J. Burial was in the Forrest (sic) Park cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Cooper died Wednesday in a Mineola hospital. He had lived in the Alba community for the past 40 years and was a retired merchant and farmer.
