********************************************* Florence M. Sobolik, 96 years, of Fremont, NE, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, NE. She was born November 10, 1922 in South Sioux City, NE to Ray and Mary (Dickerson) VanHorn. She grew up in Sioux City, IA and Wakefield, NE. She moved to Fremont, NE in 1932 where she has lived since. Florence married Donald H. Sobolik August 18, 1945 in Marysville, KS. He preceded her in death October 26, 2002. She was a member of Fremont Alliance Church. Florence is survived by daughter, Mary Helen (Bob) Butler of Casper, WY; grandchildren, Robert Butler and Michael (Anette) Butler; nieces, Rae Riley, Jacci Dennehy, and Betty Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters. Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation on Monday 4-6 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials may be directed to Fremont Alliance Church or Lions Club International.
