Otis W. CLARK, 91, Platte County Pioneer Dies Otis W. Clark, 91, died this evening in the Fullerton Hospital where he had been since last Wednesday. He was in failing health the last several years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McKown Funeral Home, where the body now lies in state, Dr. Henry C. Beatty, Methodist pastor will officiate & burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Clark, son of the late Augustus W. & Elizabeth WESTCOTT CLARK, was born 23 June 1871 in LaSalle county, Ill., coming to Platte county at the age of 3 years. He farmed in Platte county until his health forced him to retire. On 25 Feb. 1897, he married Jessie June MOORE at Columbus. After her death 11 May 1946, he made his home with his son, Howard & for the past 2 years, he lived with his daughter, Mrs. Lewis Harris at Stromsberg. He is survived by 2 sons, George A. CLARK of Baker, Ore. & Howard W. CLARK of Clarks; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lewis F. (Florence) HARRIS of Stromsberg, Mrs. Vaud (Orma) LEWIS of Shelby & Mrs. Frank E. (Phyllis) MORGAN of Clarks; 5 grandchildren; 1 brother, Eugene CLARK of Columbus & 1 sister, Mrs. Myrtle ABELL of Baker, Ore. 1 brother & 3 sisters preceded him in death. source: Columbus Telegram 14 Aug. 1962
