Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Thursday, 12 February 1920 The many friends of the family were deeply pained to learn of the death of Mrs. Carl Strattman (sic), which occurred at her home six miles northeast of this city about 5 o'clock Thursday morning, death resulting from pneumonia. Mrs. Strattmann was taken ill last Thursday with influenza, which shortly thereafter developed into pneumonia. She was 25 years of age. Besides the husband, four children, Clarence, Ervin, Viola and Evelyn, survive her; (a line of type appears to have been left off here)...Henry Schaaf, and one brother, Henry Schaaf Jr. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not yet been made.
