Nan Sherwood (Parchman) Schutza's mother, Nanie Nelson (Sherwood) Parchman, died on January 12, 1919, the day after Nan was born. Nan was taken in by cousins, Rev. Arthur Sabastian Eggner and Anna Belle (Chambers) Eggner , and raised by them.
