Bio

Harvie Lee Parrish, 91, of Pursley, passed away on October 25, 2019. Burial will be at Hamilton Beeman Cemetery. Harvie was born on July 2, 1928, in Navarro County, Texas, to the late Harvie P. and Maciel Gunn Parrish. He served in the United States Navy. Harvey was a member of Pursley Missionary Baptist Church. He was a people person and enjoyed visiting and talking with everyone. Over the years he has owned a few businesses, a gas station in Dawson, Busy Bee, NorthPark Grocery, Harvie's, and Pecan business. He also worked for Oak Farms Milk and Dr. Pepper. He has always been a farmer and rancher and enjoyed working with tractors. He was preceded in death by his brother, E.L. Parrish. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Nelda Parrish; sons, Charlie Parrish and his wife, Brenda, and Terry Parrish and his wife, Donna; grandchildren; Jennifer Parrish and David Rackard, Crystal Parrish, Chris and Heather Parrish, and Kyle and Meagan Parrish; great-grandchildren: Colton, Ryker, and Cade Parrish; sisters, Audra Donald, and Sue Murray and her husband, Larry; and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
