Bio

Girnell (Nell) C. Freeman, 84, longtime resident of Grand Prairie, passed away on January 26, 2019. She was born in Kaufman County on May 11, 1934. Her father was Argus Troy Coker and her mother was Myrtle Alabama Coker. She graduated as Valedictorian of her 1952 class at Kemp High School and went on to marry Doyle W. Freeman on November 21st , 1962. Nell worked for R L Polk, Texas Instruments, and lastly at Vought Aircraft for 25 years where she was a manager and earned the prestigious award of “Outstanding Performer” in 1991.
