Bio

Mr. Sheffield passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Memorial Nursing Center in Frederick. Donnie Max Sheffield was born September 11, 1953, in Frederick, Oklahoma, to Lee J. and Wilma Joyce (Lemon) Sheffield. He attended Frederick Public Schools, graduating from Frederick High School in 1972. On July 25, 1972, he and Reba Jane Cryer were united in marriage in Tipton, Oklahoma. Donnie started working for United Supermarket in Frederick at the age of 16 years old. He worked for eight years, working his way up to assistant manager. He later worked for Brantley Manufacturing. In 1982, he began working for Miracle Laboratory Pest & Termite Control. Donnie worked for 33 years, retiring in 2015. He was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Frederick. Donnie loved woodworking and was a perfectionist. Many times, he would build or re-finish a piece of furniture; if it was off a minute amount, he would re-sand it, and start all over again. He was a loving family man! His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Reba Jane Sheffield of the home; his father, Lee Sheffield of Frederick, Oklahoma; one son, Brian Sheffield and his wife Jessica of Frederick, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, Patrick Pierson of Blanchard, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Tyler Pierson and his wife Lorian of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Dylan Sheffield and Paige Boyd of Lawton, Oklahoma, Haley Pierson of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Peyton Pierson of Blanchard, Oklahoma, Alexis Sheffield and Jonathan Higuera of Frederick, Oklahoma, and Talan Sheffield of Frederick, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Rebel Pierson of Blanchard, Oklahoma; one brother, Michael Lee Sheffield and his wife Cindy of Ardmore, Oklahoma; four sisters, Debra Brown and her husband Mack of Checotah, Oklahoma, June Hurst and her husband Kevin of Dalton, Georgia, Wanda Duncan and her husband Brad of Altus, Oklahoma; and Trisha Bearden and Adam Clear of Weatherford, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Doris Romines of Tipton, Oklahoma and Barbara Cryer of Electra, Texas; two brothers-in-law, George VanAntwep of Carnegie, Oklahoma and Tommy Henson of Tipton, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie Dawn Pierson; his mother, Wilma Sheffield; and his grandparents, O.C. and Josie Lemon and Tommy and Myrtle Sheffield.
