Bio

According to Swen's birth certificate the family name in Sweden was Johansson and his name was actually spelled Sven. Sven Hanson arrived in the United States and married Hulda Katrina Hedlund in 1914. Together they had 4 children Arthur, Walter, John and Vera Hanson. By 1920 Swen and Hulda are farming on a rented farm in Hutto, Texas. Living with them are Swen's parents Hans and Johanna Hanson who also immigrated in 1914. After Swen's death in 1938 of a heart attack Hulda remained in Hutto, Texas until at least 1940 because she is living with her 2 youngest children and supervising the farm. At some point Hulda moved to Sacramento, California where she died in 1986.
