Bio

Mrs. Hugh (Joanna) Ayers, 82, of Albany died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 1984, at Shackelford County Hospital. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Monday January 23, at matthews memorial Presbyterian Church. The Rev Doug Arranger, pastor officiated. Abutial was at Albany Cemetery, directed by Godfrey funeral Home. Born July 6, 1901, in Stephens County, she married Hugh H. Ayers July 19, 1930 in Abilene. She had lived in Albany since 1917 and was a member and deacon of the Matthews memorial Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers. Survivors include here husband, a sister, Elizabeth Roberts of Rotan, and numerous cousins. Transcribed from The Albany news January 26, 1984
