Everett Hansen, 92, of Palmyra, Utah passed away peacefully on August 15, 2019 at his home in Palmyra. Everett was born February 13, 1927 in Palmyra to Peter Oliver and Emily Leyson Hansen. He spent a happy childhood in his hometown and graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Everett served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned H&P Fish Company, he owned Dennie’s Café, worked for Frank O’Bryan Metal Salvage, Alan’s Welding, and A&H Equipment. He was a rider for Lake Shore and Diamond Fork Cattle Association, Water Master for West Fields Irrigation, and he loved farming. He married Cleo Ann Chapple and they are the parents of five children. After Cleo’s death, he married Eva Mae Dansie Leavitt, who passed away in 2009. Everett enjoyed carpentry, riding horses, camping, cooking, and spoiling grandkids. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was always willing to help his friends and neighbors. He is survived by his children, Michael Everett (Jill) Hansen, of Spanish Fork, Connie (Dwight) Fisher, Spanish Fork, and Scott Chapple Hansen, of Payson; an “older sister”, Berta Holt; stepsons, Dave Leavitt, of Springlake, Rik Leavitt, of Logandale. He also leaves behind eight granddaughters and one grandson. Everett was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo; and wife, Eva Mae; daughters, Denice and Shelly; and daughter-in-law, Janet. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Palmyra Chapel, 1866 West 5000 South, Palmyra, Utah. Family and friends may visit on Monday evening, August 19, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah, and on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. The family sends a special thanks to the ICare Hospice Team- Bonnie and Cami.
