Services for Mrs. Zadie Markle Morgan, 97, of Columbia were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 9, 1995 from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Sherman Jones officiating. Interment followed in the Old Bethel Cemetery west of Clarks. Mrs. Morgan, a homemaker, was born October 3, 1897 in Oakdale to the union of Levi and Mary Johnson Markle and died Saturday, April 8, 1995 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia. Survivors include her daughter: Mrs. Katherine Whitaker of Clarks, her sister: Mrs. Sally Monk of Oakdale, five grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Heath Duchesne, Shane Nugent, Jerry Mims, Jr., Marvin Garrett, Kenneth Duchesne and Chris Bennett. Published in The Caldwell Watchman (Columbia, LA), Wednesday, April 12, 1995
