Anne Olsdotter (Dahl) Ringness, 42, died in Bremerton on October 28, 1921. She was the wife of Jacob Ringness. "The funeral services for Mrs. Anna Ringness, of Central Valley, who died Friday afternoon at the Bremerton hospital, following an operation, will take place on Tuesday at the Central Valley Lutheran church. Rev. Theodore Hokenstad of Bremerton, and Rev. Carl Losen of Central Valley, will officiate, with interment in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ringness is survived by her husband, Jacob Ringness and eight children." Her full obituary appeared in Kitsap County Herald: "Central Valley - One of our best neighbors and friends, Mrs. Anne Ringnes, passed away Friday, October 28th. She has been in poor health for the last few years and passed away after undergoing an operation in the Bremerton hospital. The funeral was held at the Island Lake church November 1st. As Mrs. Ringness was a pioneer of the Valley, the crowd at the funeral was so big that the church could not hold them all. There were a lot of beautiful flowers. Amongst the prettiest was a wreath from the Ladies' Aid, of which she was a member, and one from the Silverdale Poultry Association. Rev. Losen delivered a lovely sermon in Norwegian and Rev. Hokenstad from Bremerton delivered a very good sermon in English, and sang two beautiful solos. Mrs. Ringnes leaves a large family behind: A husband and eight children, five of whom are in grammar school, two out of school, and a baby 3-1/2 years old, besides a mother, two sisters and two brothers. She was nearly 43 years old when she died. She was a good wife, mother and friend, and she will not be forgotten.
