Alice Cora Johnson Stevens, 90, of Silverdale died Nov. 17, 1999, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo. She was born Dec. 6, 1908, in the Pearson community of Central Kitsap, to Jacob and Anne Ringness. She was raised and educated in the Central Valley of Kitsap County. She grew up on her family's dairy farm and was involved in owning and operating the farm throughout her life. She married Ernest M. Stevens on May 29, 1948, at Central Valley Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Stevens was a member of Ladies of Elks, Bremerton Lodge 1192, Silverdale Lutheran Church and the Kitsap County Dairy Wives Association. Survivors include a son, Donald Johnson of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Dolores Helstrom of Silverdale; four sisters, Ruth Olsen and Agnes Berg, both of Bremerton, and Alma Berg and Mildred Frazier, both of Silverdale; four grandchildren, Cynthia Vaughn of Nashville, Debbie Harp of Poulsbo, Terri Parris of Atlanta and Tina Helstrom of Silverdale; and four great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, George and Oscar, and a sister, Gina. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Monday at Silverdale Lutheran Church. Private interment will take place at Forest Lawn cemetery.
