Bio
Fort Bend Herald, July 23, 2019: Joe Bohacek went to be with his Lord & Savior on July 20, 2019. He was born on September 15, 1930 in Beasley, Texas to Joseph and Victoria Bohacek. He served in the National Guard. After working at WKM for several years, Joe started his own business, Joe's Lawnmower Service, which remained open for 50+ years. Joe had a huge passion for guns and was proud to show off his collection. He loved hunting and fishing and watching his favorite TV show, Gunsmoke. Joe was a very kind and good hearted man who loved to talk to anyone and everyone and always had a story or a joke to tell. His cat "Patches" will be missed by him. We would like to thank Dr. Mefford and his staff for everything they ever did for Joe. A huge "Thank You" also goes out to Ms. Emma, his caretaker, for over 8 years. Also, a "Thank You" to Liz for being there whenever we needed. In addition to his parents, Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Lee Ann Bohacek; and 5 brothers. Joe leaves behind son, Thomas Bohacek and wife, Jonna; daughter, Jennifer Hajovsky and husband, Mike; and his precious granddaughter, Morgan, his "Little Weasel". Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Beasley, followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Pallbearers will include Marvin Ohl, Vernon Bohacek, Kenneth Bohacek, George Bohacek, Jr., Colin Beatty, Kyle Beatty, Mike Hajovsky, Ronnie Hajovsky, and Jeff Hajovsky.
