Rose Kealer Dozier, 96, of Batesville died Wednesday, July 17, 2019. She was born Monday, July 16, 1923 in Batesville to Fred P. and Annie (Bluerock) Kealer. Rose was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a member of the ECW and the Altar Guild. She was an inspirational woman who always had a positive attitude and loved her family. She loved to gather wild flowers and work in her flower garden. In her spare time, Rose loved to collect antiques and refinish furniture. She was a great cook who loved to quilt, listen to music and was proud of her family heritage. She is survived by two sons, Danny Dozier (Cathy), Tim Dozier (Julie), both of Batesville; two daughters, Susan Porter, Fan Dozier (Michael Farrier), both of Batesville; one brother, Louis Kealer Sr. of Batesville; one sister, Anna Mae McSpadden of Batesville; two grandchildren, Derek Porter (Kimberly), Wendy Dozier; two great-grandchildren, Isabelle Porter, Luke Porter, and several nieces and nephews. Rose is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman A. Dozier; and two brothers, George Kealer Sr., and Preston Kealer. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Rose, Dr. David Allen, Doug Brodie, Jim Key, Scott McSpadden, Allen McSpadden, Derek Porter, Luke Porter, Louis Kealer Jr., and George Kealer Jr. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery with Father Jim McDonald officiating. Reception to follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Memorials may be made to Maxfield Park P.O.
