Signalman 3rd Class (E-4), U. S. Navy, World War II. Funeral services for Troy K. Green, 71, of Smithville, are scheduled for 9 a. m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 1995, at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Smithville with the Rev. Y. J. Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery near Bay City at 3:30 p. m. Visitation will be 1 to 3 p. m. Thursday at Bay City Funeral Home. Mr. Green was born March 20, 1923, in El Campo, to James Ancil and Eliza Ann Hamonds Green and died Jan. 31, 1995. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy K. Green of Smithville; a son and daughter-in-law, Tex and Jackie Green of Lafayette, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Mike Roger of Manderville, La., and Michelle and Jake Pitts of Lafayette, La.; a daughter, Chris Guidry of Lafayette, La.; step-children, Beverly and Jody Claybourn of Bay City, Shirley Shearer of Austin, Cecilia and David Studdard of Denver, Colo., Nancy and Greg Daniel of Austin, Lee McKinney of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Marie Walker of Clute and Joyce Stewart of Ninnekay, Okla.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers are Cory Green, Chad Green, Mike Roger, Mike Guidry, Jody Claybourn, David Studdard and Mark Blythe. Arrangements are with Marrs-Jones Funeral Home of Smithville.
