Julius Morrison registered for the draft October 16, 1940 and was inducted into the Army August 29, 1942. He joined Company K, 134th Infantry Regiment, 35th Infantry Division as a Light Mortar Crewman from the 48th Replacement Battalion August 10, 1944 when the unit was in the vicinity of Mortain, France. He suffered a gunshot to his arm November 11, 1944 during fighting in the vicinity of the Foret de Gremecey, France and returned to duty December 5, 1944. PFC Julius Morrison was reported missing December 30, 1944 and was last seen when the Company was attacking the high ground northeast of Lutrebois, Belgium. He was later confirmed killed in action on that date.
