Donald Taylor Donald Taylor 66, of Tampico, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Cremation rites were accorded. Memorial services are 1 p.m. Friday at Garland Funeral Home, Tampico. Burial of cremains will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. A memorial has been established in his memory in lieu of flowers. He was born Oct. 15, 1938, in Idabel, Okla., to Thelmer and Gladys Abner Taylor. He married Evelyn Dettmann Oct. 31, 1977, in Houston, Texas. He served in the United States Army. Survivors are his wife; daughters, Sherry Wisdom DeKalb, Ill., Nadine Farquer, Dahinda, Ill., Dawn Sollars, Rock Falls, and Shawn Taylor, Rockford, Ill,; six grandchildren; a brother, Lucky, Mansfield, Texas; and a half-sister, Elaine Christians, California.
