SAD DEATH OF LITTLE GIRL LAST FRIDAY Esther, the nine-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pelster, passed away last Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, following a few days illness presumably from a ruptured appendix. The death occurred at the J. F. Hill home, where the little girl was brought when placed under the care of the physician. The body was prepared for burial and taken to the home of the parents Friday night, from which place it was taken Saturday to Sidney and shipped to Raeville, Neb., where the funeral was held Monday and burial made in the family plot. The father accompanied the body on the sad journey to Raeville. Esther was born at Elgin, Neb., and removed with her parents to Dalton. She was possessed of a kind, loving disposition and was always a friend to everyone. Many were the duties which she performed in the home, endearing her to all. The death is a particularly sad one at this time, as a little brother had arrived to gladden the home two days before Esther's death, and while ill she asked to be permitted to name the little lad Phillip. The community extends its sympathy to the bereaved during their sad hour.
