Services Pend for O. F. Rowell O. F. Rowell, 81, of 405 S. Prospect, was dead on arrival at 11:45 p.m. Monday at Northwest Texas Hospital. Potter County Justice of the Peace Cliff Roberts said death appeared to be from natural causes, but ordered an autopsy. Funeral Services for Mr Rowell, who was a fireman at American Smelting and Refining Co. here, will be announced by N. S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors. Born in Emblem, he had been an Amarillo resident for 21 years and was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; four sons, Oliver Terry of New Orleans, Loyd Dan of Caldwell, Idaho, Jimmy Wayne of Grand Island, Neb., and Richard Weldon of the family home; a daughter, Miss Linda Sue Rowell of the home; six brothers, Dewey of Holiday, Darwin and Byron, both of Beaumont, Deryl of San Diego, Calif., Cloyd of Euliss and Floyd of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Murray and Mrs. Earlene Hayter, both of Dallas; his mother, Mrs. H. F. Rowell of Sulphur Springs; and 10 grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-Times (Amarillo, Texas) July 11, 1972
