JT Courtney, age 79 entered into rest on June 17, 2019 in Splendora, Texas He was born October 31, 1939 in Wakefield, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and John C. Courtney and brother, Delbert Courtney. JT's memory will be cherished by his beloved wife of 60 years, Doris; sons, Chris Courtney and his wife Tammy, Terry Courtney and his wife Sandra; sisters, Diamond Wilson, O'Dessa Henderson, Evelyn Albright; grandchildren, Christopher Courtney, Tiffany Courtney, TJ Courtney, Casey Courtney, Katelyn Munsinger, Tiana Courtney, Connor Courtney; great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Kaiden, Cash, Chloe, Camilla, Kole, Kollyns, Katherine, Bella, Lilliana, Railey, Rhody, and Kasyn. A visitation for JT will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:30 AM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:30 AM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. Serving as pallbearers are Casey Courtney, Danny (Buddy) Bridges, T.J. Courtney, Dennis Bridges, Rhody Courtney, Darryl Bridges, Christopher Courtney and Corey Munsinger.
