Lifelong Resident of County Dead At Age of 80 Years Mrs. Minnie Aldora Strawn, 80, died suddenly Sunday evening at 6 o'clock at her home near Michigantown. She was born November 26, 1867 in Clinton county, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Whitcomb Barnett. Her whole life was spent in the county where she was born and her untiring efforts were backed up by a life of quiet and unobtrusive, but faithful and devoted service to her family and her wide circle of friends. She was united in marriage to Howard Strawn in 1891, who survives. To them were born five children, Meda, who resides at the home near Michigantown; Orvan, Frankfort Route 3; John of Incianapolis; Mrs. Roxie S. Haller of Washington, D.C. and Katie, of Indianapolis. Besides the husband and children mentioned above she leaves to mourn her loss one granddaughter, Wilma A. Strawn, Frankfort Route 3. Her only grandson John Strawn Jr., was killed in action in Germany on Feb. 25, 1945. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Goodwin Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
