Elaine M. Jirovsky, 89 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Monday, June 10, 2019 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Elaine was born July 13, 1929 in rural West Point, Nebraska to Erwin and Lottie (Benne) Pagels. She grew up in rural West Point and was a 1946 graduate of West Point High School. She worked at the West Point Cleaners and Laundry and attended Grace Lutheran Church. Elaine married James J. Jirovsky on September 19, 1951 at Council Bluffs, IA. After her marriage, the couple farmed at the Scribner Air Base until moving to Fremont in 1981. James died May 26, 2008. Elaine is survived by nieces; Sandra (Bob) Stieren of Ne, Connie (John) Bleimeister of NE, Candy (Kermit) Lowery of AK, Susan (Michael) Sindelar of NE; nephews, Kenneth (Monica) Pagels of NE, Louis Suda, Donald Vyhlidal, James (Sandi) Vyhlidal, John (Janey) Vyhlidal, Jr., David (Lynette) Vyhlidal, and Robert (JoAnn) Virgl; sisters-in-law, Adeline Vyhlidal and Betty Price. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Norman and Warren Pagels. Funeral service will be 10 AM, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Leland Foreman will officiate. Visitation on Saturday 1 hour prior to service. Burial at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. (mosermemorialchapel.com/obituary)
