Bio
Dorothy Margaret (Radl) Carstens, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, was carried into heaven by angels on April 20, 2007. Dorothy was born to the late William and Anna (Reinke) Radle in New Ulm, MN on November 17, 1918. Dorothy was the fourth of ten children. She attended St. John Lutheran Church and School in Sleepy Eye, MN. Dorothy worked for Motorola and also helped her husband, Carl, operate the family restaurant. Dorothy was kind and generous and made many friends throughout her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Carl Carstens. She is survived by her daughters Janet Henry (William) and Mary Carstens; granddaughters Michele Tech (Paul) and Kathleen Henry; great grandchildren Tyler and Cambria Tech; and her sisters, Lorraine Mathiowetz, Ruth Schaefer, and Joyce Jobe (Ervin). Dorothy will be missed by all those whose lives she touched. Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2007 at Green Acres Mortuary from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Green Acres Mortuary Chapel of Light, 401 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, AZ on Tuesday, April 24th, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Valley or Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School.
