Cecil Stanley Nampa — Services for Cecil W. Stanley, 77, Route 5 Nampa, who died Friday at a Nampa hospital after a short illness, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, by Dr. Fred Knight, pastor of the Franklin Community Presbyterian Church. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Karcher Road. Mr. Stanley was born 2 Sept 1895 at Clarks, Neb., where he grew up. He married Jane Helena Armstrong on 17 Mar 1920 at Chapel, Neb. They lived at Big Springs, Neb until 1946 when they moved to the Nampa area. He has been a rancher all of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I; was a member of the Franklin Community Presbyterian Church; a member of the Nampa Countrymen's Club; a member of the American Legion Post of Big Springs; a member of the Joseph H. Murray Post of the Nampa American Legion; a past president of the Canyon Country Farm Bureau; and had been active in the Canyon County Democrat party. Survivors include three sons, John Stanley, big Springs, Welton Stanley, Nampa, and Barry Stanley, Fire Steel, S.D; two daughters, Mrs. Leah Anderson, Bruie, Neb., and Mrs. Patricia Rhoades, Big Springs; 17 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. His wife died on 18 Aug 1972.
