John is the son of Williamson Rutledge and Nancy Odom-Streetman. John married Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Clay, the daughter of Royal and Nancy Broughton-Clay, September 12, 1849, in Itawamba County, Mississippi. The "Rutledge" middle name was handed down from Williamson Rutledge Streetman's mother's maiden name. Her name was Mary Adeline "Ada" Rutledge. She was married to Martin Streetman of Madison County, Georgia. Both John and Elizabeth died between 1900 and 1910. Family records indicate they are both buried here in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery along with several of their other children. John Streetman was a Justice of the Peace for two terms. 1871-1874 and 1892-1895. 1860 Itawamba County, Mississippi Jno R Streetman 32 Elisabeth J Streetman 29 Nancy J Streetman 10 Louisa E Streetman 8 Susan E Streetman 5 Wm J Streetman 3 John H Streetman 9/12 1870 Alcorn County, Mississippi Jno Streetman 43 Lizzie Streetman 40 Nancy Streetman 20 Louisa Streetman 17 Melvin Streetman 13 John Streetman 10 Jasper Streetman 8 James Streetman 4 Royal Streetman 2 Lula Streetman 2 1880 Burnsville, Tishomingo County, Mississippi J.
