Madison, TN BOOHER, Joseph Pickens Age 69, died July 14, at the York VA Medical Center. He Is survived by his wife, 1 daughter, Captain Kathleen Craver, USAF, NC of Biloxi, MS; son, Joseph P. Booher II of Madison; brother, David O. Booher, MD of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters, Sara Carmichael, Bowling Green, KY, Elizabeth Jones of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Bonnie & Steven Craver; Leonard Craver; brothers-in-la- William s, MD of Palo Alto, Cal., Lt. Colonel retired John Carmichael, Richard Jones and Victor Evans of Bonita Springs, FL; sisters-in-la- Mary Ellen Akers, Jo Ann Booher, and Helen Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Jonathan P. Booher and Alice Guthrie Booher. He graduated from Auburn, KY High School and attended Western KY University, University of Louisville and the University of KY. He was a 33 year employee of the United Methodist Publishing House and for many years the manager of the Downtown Cokesbury Bookstore. He was the long time President of the Nashville Booksellers Association and a member of the committee that founded the Nashville Book and Author Dinner. He served on Mayor Fulton Overall Economic Development Committee. He was a Veteran of WWII. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Sat. at Madison Funeral Home, conducted by his niece, Rev. Leah Akers-Be- ll of Washington, Indiana. Interment, Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thurs. 8 p.m., Fri. 8 p.m., and Sat. 8 a.m. until time of service. Honorary Pallbearers, Employees and Retirees of United Methodist Publishing House, Baron's Club of Western KY University and Caregivers and Therapists of Sunbelt Home Health Agency.
