Thanks to Cherly for looking this up................ The Idaho Statesman Boise, Idaho Friday, April 23, 2004 Zoe Geraldine Lysinger Zoe Geraldine Lysinger passed away April 15, 2004. She was born May 16, 1909 at Walevorth, Neb. She was the daughter of George and Jessie Orvis. She spent her childhood years on their farm and attended the county school until she entered the Sargent High School and graduated in 1925. She attended Kearney Teachers College and taught school in Custer County, Neb. for five years. She married Donald Lysinger June 12, 1932 at Taylor, Neb. and they lived the first eight years of their married life in Sargent, Neb. From 1940 to 1947 they lived in Grand Island and Loup City, Neb. In the fall of 1947 she moved with her family to Ontario, Ore. and then in 1949 to Fruitland, Idaho, where she resided since. She went to work in Rock's Department Store in Ontario in 1964 and continued to work there until the store closed. Her hobbies were crocheting, reading, knitting, gardening and cooking. She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Ronald and wife Edwina of Boise, and Dan D. of Boise. She leaves three grandchildren, Maj. Ronald (can't read the next word) serving in Iraq, and wife Rhonda, currently at Ft. Riley, Kan.; also Mary Elizabeth and husband Tim Burke and Nancy Lysinger of Boise. Seven great-grandchildren survive her, Ronald Afton, Matthew Lee, Rebecca Zoe, Grace Elizabeth, John Peter (J.P.), Riley Jo, and Thomas Martin. Also surviving are several nieces and a brother-in-law, Keith (Laddie) Lysinger. She is being greeted in heaven by a son, Donnie Dean (who died in infancy), her husband, as well as her parents, sisters, a brother and many others. No services will be held per her request. A family memorial will be held when Maj. Ron returns from Iraq later this month. Arrangements are by Aclesa Cremation and Burial Society, Boise.
