E. Joan (Forbes) Wylie Cooper, 88, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson, Missouri. Joan was born to the union of the late, Martin A. and Nellie (Hopkins) Forbes on December 30, 1930 in rural Stella, Missouri. She attended Greely, Colorado Senior High School, Pineville, Missouri High School and Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri. Joan was employed as a Certified Dental Assistant with Norman L. Smith, D.D.S. for 23 years and then was a Quality Control Inspector for Sunbeam in Neosho, Missouri. She enjoyed Big Sugar Creek, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, quilting, crocheting, reading and studying the Bible. Joan was an active member of the Grace-Life Church in Anderson, Missouri. She was married to Loyde E. Wylie on September 24, 1946, he preceded her in death. Their surviving children are Micheal T. Wylie and wife, Marilyn of Sweetwater, Missouri, Sherre R. Wilson and husband, Gary of Eagle Rock, Missouri and Jo Nelle Nageotte and husband, Lonny of Rocky Comfort, Missouri. Preceding her in death was their infant daughter, Gylda; her grandsons, Zachary Nageotte and Zachary Wylie; her granddaughter, Amber Russell; brothers, Jim Forbes, Al Forbes; three sisters, Thressa Loftis, Dorothy Markle and Alene Wylie. Joan is survived by her husband, Donald R. Cooper, they were married on April 4, 1987. Her surviving step children, who she considered her own are Jerry D. Cooper and wife, Lee Ann of Anderson, Missouri, Remae Teague and husband, David of Ruskin, Florida. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of them dearly loved by Joan. She will be greatly missed by all who knew Joan. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Grace-Life Church in Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Cecil Hall will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. Patrick Wylie, Dusty Cooper, Reece Cooper, Byron Wylie, Chism Cooper and Zebulon Nageotte will honor Joan's life by serving as pallbearers. Travis Cooper, Shanon Cooper and Tyler Wylie will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Anderson Chapel of The Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
