Bio

Loretta A. Sindelar, 76, of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of the Salem and Houghton communities passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant. Loretta was born on July 2, 1942, in Lincoln, Nebraska the daughter of William P. and Adella M. Martinck Sindelar. She was a cook at St. John’s Catholic School in Houghton. She also worked at the Fellowship Cup and the Quarter Maybe More Store in Mt. Pleasant. Loretta enjoyed doing needlework, playing the organ and helping out on the farm, especially working with the sheep. She was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in Houghton. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Melvin Sindelar.
