Nora Lee (Neeley) Rightmer, age 88, of Houston, Texas, passed away in Houston on March 24, 2018. She was born on December 26, 1929, in Jeddo, Texas, to Floyd and Mary Neeley. Nora had two sisters and three brothers, Ozelle Neeley Johnson Brannaka, Teeley Neeley, Floyd Neeley, Troy Neeley, and John F. Neeley. She married Frank Rosanky in 1946 and had one child, Marilyn. Frank died in 1954, and Nora then married Ray Kenneth Rightmer in 1958. From that marriage she had a son, Lloyd Ray Rightmer. Being from Jeddo, Nora was born a country girl on a ranch and farm. She loved animals and had a horse named "Jasper" that she rode to elementary and junior high school. As a woman Nora was always the most fashionably well-dressed for any occasion. She kept a youthful appearance and spirit throughout her life. She never met a stranger and loved to tease, laugh and dance. She loved her family and is survived by husband, Ray Rightmer; sister, Ozelle Brannaka; daughter, Marilyn Elliott; son-in-law, John Elliott; son, Lloyd Rightmer; daughter-in-law, Katie Rightmer; grandson, Dustin Breese, and her grandson's wife, Sara Breese; and two grandchildren, Ethan Breese and Ben Breese. She is predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Mary Neeley; one sister, Teeley Neeley; three brothers, Floyd Neeley, Troy Neeley, and John F. Neeley; first husband, Frank Rosanky; and one grandchild, Christopher Breese. Family and friends will gather for a visitation from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Monday, April 2,2018 at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00pm Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home, 104 Olive Street, Smithville, Texas 78957. Burial will follow at Delhi Cemetery, 6278 State Highway 304, Rosanky, TX 78953. The family thanks all those who visited and took care of Nora in the final year of her life, particularly Mabel, Michelle, Adrian, Angie, Zee and many others at her nursing home.
