Florence Louise Hlozek, 84, of East Bernard, Texas, passed away on April 27, 2019 in Richmond, Texas. Florence was born on June 14, 1934 in Wallis, Texas to parents, Vaclac J. and Henrietta Tajchman. In 1952, she graduated from Lamar High School in Rosenberg, Texas. On October 9, 1954, Florence married Leon Hlozek in Rosenberg, Texas. Florence worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, and later at Texas Instruments. Florence is preceded in death by her husband, Leon; siblings, William Tajchman, Mary Jo Maresh, Carmel Tajchman, Adolph Tajchman, Georgiana, Moore; and son-in-law, Ricky Hough. Survived by daughters, Jeanne Dybala (Bernard), Suzanne Hough; sons, Leon Hlozek, Jr. (Katy), William Hlozek; brother, Wenceslaus "James" Tajchman; sisters, Lillian Kujawa, Helen Kelner; grandchildren, William and Stephen Dybala, Jacob and Jeremy Hough, Krista Piditella, and Melissa Nelson; great-grandchildren, Liam, Gabrielle, Anslie, Larissa, Evelyn, Sawyer, Josie, Chelsey; great-great-grandchildren, Layton and Castiel. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 839 Church Street, East Bernard, TX. A rosary will begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
