Bio
Juanita Mae Moores Kocurek, mother and nurse, passed away on September 17, 2015. The youngest of five children, she is survived by one brother, Donald Elwood Moores. Juanita is survived by her six children: Jeanne Kocurek Hand, Marie Kocurek-Montgomery, Susan L. Kocurek, Linda Kocurek Jackson, Nancy Kocurek Ivey, and Frank A. Kocurek Jr.; She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Ryan Carvalho, Ben Ivey IV and W. Forrest Ivey. Juanita fiercely loved her children and devoted her life to raising and caring for them. In her 40's she graduated nursing school and worked more than 25 years caring for her patients as lovingly as she cared for her children. She was a wonderful cook and most family members remember her famous German chocolate cake and pies with fondness. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 25, 2015, at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Home. Family will be present from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service will be at 5:00 p.m.Ashes to be spread Saturday, September 26, 2015, with a picnic following.
