Bio

Vera Sullivan, age 94, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 6, 2001, at Villa Haven Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Woodson, with Jimmy Stiles officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodson Cemetery, directed by Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Born in Ranger on March 15, 1907, she married CLARENCE SULLIVAN on March 2, 1935 in Throckmorton. He preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1986. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Woodson. Mrs. Sullivan is survived by three daughters, COLENE KILGORE and LINDA CRAMER, both of Ozona, and JOHNNIE JONES of Woodson; four sons, J.H. SMITH of Arlington, GLENN SMITH of Searcy, Ark., ELGA RAY SMITH and CARLTON SULLIVAN, both of Woodson; one sister, NOVA RILEY of Throckmorton; two brothers, DELBERT ALLISON of New London and ELVIS ALLISON of Searcy, Ark.; 34 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
