Peggy June Sullivan, age 69, of Hillsboro died Thursday, March 12, 1998 at Parkland Burn Center in Dallas. Services were held Saturday, March 14, 1998 at 1 p.m. at the Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Hillsboro, Texas with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating. Burial was in Woodson Cemetery under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors. She was born April 30, 1928 in Woodson, Texas to CHARLIE C. and HAZEL H.(HARBINSON) SULLIVAN. She grew up in Woodson and graduated from Woodson High School and from North Texas State University. She taught school in Lipan and Strawn and in 1951 became Hill County Extension Agent, retiring in 1983 after 32 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents. Sullivan was a Methodist, president of the Retired Teachers Association of Hill County, a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Las Causeuses Club, the Cell Block Museum, a suporter of the Hill County Courthouse Restoration Fund and a Docent for the Hill County Cell Block Museum. Survivors include; BOBBIE SMALLEY of Hillsboro; two brothers, DAVID SULLIVAN and wife, DOROTHY of Breckenridge and LARRY SULLIVAN and wife, BETTY of Woodson; one sister, VERNELL ELLEDGE and husband, PAUL of Breckenridge; 11 nieces and nephews; 18 great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great nephew.
