Bio

Larry Sullivan, 70, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at his residence. Larry was born on October 27, 1941 in Woodson to Charlie Sullivan and Hazel Harbison Sullivan. He married Betty Whitmire on April 11, 1963 in Palo Pinto. He graduated from Woodson High School and Hardin Simmons University. Larry coached at Woodson ISD for eight years and farmed and ranched in Woodson. He is survived by his wife, Betty Sullivan; daughter, Shanna Smith and husband, Eric; sons, Ron Sullivan and wife, Tracy and Lance Sullivan and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Parker and Kelcy Sullivan, Coby and Summer Blackard, Brayden, Mattie, Savanna, Jack, and Isabella; great-grandchilren, Payton and Emma; brother, David Sullivan, and many precious nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Vernell Elledge and Peggy Sullivan. The funeral service with Rev. Pete Parker and Charles West officiating was held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Woodson First Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Woodson Cemetery. Source: Melton-Kitchens
