Bio
Alma A. Chapman, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday April 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 23, 1933 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Edmund & Louise Cook. On November 1, 1952 she married Wilburn E. Chapman. He survives along with 2 sons, Larry (Vicki) Chapman and Gary (Christina) Chapman both of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Betty Graves and Bonnie Williams both of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 children, Danny Chapman, Roy Chapman and Shirley Chapman; 2 brothers, Earl & Elbert Cook and a sister, Mary Cook. Alma enjoyed sewing and collecting Beanie Babies. She was a member of the Osceola First General Baptist Church. Funeral services for Alma will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 6, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Eugene “Gene” Cook her brother-in-law will preside and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.
