Janie L. Blazek, 92, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Saturday, March 9, 2019. Burial will be at St. Josephs Cemetery. Janie was born in Ennis, Texas on January 13, 1927, to the late Frank and Annie (Martinek) Pavlacka. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1945. On January 28, 1947, she married Joe George Blazek and they made their home in Ennis. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and KJZT. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and vegetable gardens. Her family was the light of her life. She also enjoyed working with cattle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe G. Blazek; a brother; and a daughter-in-law, Patsy. Survivors include her sons: Joe Dean Blazek and his wife, Betty Ann, Jimmy Ray Blazek and his wife, Janice, Jerry Wayne Blazek and his wife, Donna, and Larry Gene Blazek and his wife, Vicki; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Elaine Parker; and many other relatives and friends.
